Charlie Sheen's partying days are over, as TMZ reported he had texted several porn actresses and told them he was going straight.

The move comes after efforts by his father Martin Sheen to establish a conservatorship. effectively controlling Charlie's access to money and his lifestyle were actively being pursued.

Martin Sheen was filming in Tipperary, near his mother's birth place when he became aware of Sheen's difficulties.

Yesterday Charlie Sheen texted several porn actresses during rehab to tell them his partying days were finished, TMZ reported today.

The "Two and a Half Men" star texted one woman and stated:

"Please lose the number, we are closed ... please drive through ... thank you," he reportedly sent to one, while another received, "Right now we are on lockdown."

The actor issued a statement yesterday vowing to be back on the set of his show by February.

Despite all the bad headlines, the show has prospered, perhaps because of his antics.

60 years ago when Oscar-winner Spencer Tracy went on his frequent booze and babe binges with a wife and two small kids at home, no one blinked an eye -- even when he was straight-jacketed at one point by arresting officers. When Tracy took up living openly with Hepburn while still married, no one blinked then either; he continued to receive prize roles and Oscar nominations. I happen to like what I've seen from Sheen -- including his "what you see is what you get" persona. How many others have the balls to walk their talk to that extent? With his ex-wives and children safely stashed elsewhere, Sheen is only hurting himself -- that's his right. As for the prostitute allegedly locked in the NYC hotel bathroom; hey, that job doesn't come without its risks. I say leave him alone and let him get his act together if he can. If he can't, well, that will be a shame and I for one will miss him.
I really hope that he means this. If not, I am afraid that we will be watching the last episode of his show and he will be living the last episode of his life!
