Bill O'Reilly to beat Jon Stewart on points on 'factor' debate on Monday night

The Bill O'Reilly/Jon Stewart stand off on Monday night promises to be a television classic.
Stewart has taken O'Reilly up on an invite to debate whether the rapper and poet Common who read at the White House last week is really a threat to society.
O'Reilly has been lashing into Common calling him a dangerous subversive. Stewart has been ridiculing O'Reilly for doing so.
So seconds out, round one, Monday night.
But maybe not.
Both men actually have a surprising amount of respect for each other.
Stewart has often remarked that O'Reilly is the only Fox host who has a a well thought out and articulate point of view rather than the crazies just throwing mud.
O'Reilly too has had Stewart on his show for the very same reason.
But tomorrow night could get really interesting.
O'Reilly and Stewart may not know it but they have turned the rapper Common into an overnight media celebrity.
So tomorrow night should sell some CDs if nothing else.
I'll take O'Reilly in ten rounds on points.

Great call, Amy. Stewart crushed O'Reilly with simple facts and pointing out the typical hypocrisy of Fox "News." It doesn't take much to show idiots and fools up; just paying attention usually does it.

I agree with Monsoonman that when Stewart pointed out that both Bono and Bob Dylan had been invited to the White House by other Presidents even though Bono supported Hurricane Carter and Dylan wrote songs about cop killers, it took the wind out of O'Reilly's sails. However, as I pointed out in an earlier post, only O'Reilly's viewers watched since at that hour Stewart's viewers were out dating.

no one in their right mind wants to see a cop killed.
No one in their righ mind wants to see the cops kill a guy who has barracaded himself in a building (with no hostages) who lost his wife, his job, and his existence, and his rationale

Bad call, Stewart torn him up. The sad thing is that Obama would rather host a supporter of a cop killer, rather than attend any Presidential remembrance for cops killed in the line of duty ( as this was the annual remembrance week). Those approval ratings he got for Osama, just got nullified. Disgraceful!

I watched it and in my opinion John Stewart won on a tko. He used Bono & Bob Dylan being Whitehouse guests as examples of moral relativism. I think it took O'Reilly off guard...Didn't make him speechless mind you, but after that he was on defense imho.

No one condoned cop killing.Your soaking up to much bull sh-t with your sponge brain.Read the poem in it's entirety instead of the edited lies Hannity and co. at the Fox/GOP channel feed you.BTW it was never about Common,it's about guilt by association to denigrate the best president you lot have ever had.
