He may have lost him the first time around but Celtic boss Neil Lennon is adamant he will eventually secure Irish and Manchester City goalkeeper when the transfer window re-opens in January.

Lennon tried very hard last time to secure Given but it didn't happen.

Lennon's current keeper, Fraser Forster, who was in goals during the Scottish teams win over Dundee United at the weekend, is only on loan from Newcastle United and is expected to return to his home team in January.

This would leave the Celtic boss down a keeper and Lennon wants Given to be the replacement.

Given was on the bench this past weekend.

He watched from the sidelines as Man City secured a 3-2 win over Blackpool.

Joe Hart was manager Roberto Mancini's first choice.

It was reported that City put a block on Given moving to Celtic during the summer because they could not find a replacement but now things are looking up for the Republic of Ireland keeper.

However Lennon may not be the only manager vying for Given.

Rumors have it that former city manager Mark Hughes may also ask him to join him at Fulham.

Given has always been a Celtic fan and if the Scottish team are willing to pay him his reported $140,000-a-week wage he may take up residence there.
