Irish men come out on top it seems according to Liverpool porn star Tanya Tate.

In a recent interview with Joe.ie the English porn-star who shot to fame after a fling with former Wexford senior hurler Greg Jacob said that out of all nationalities she has had sex with, she ranked Irish men number one.

It was Tanya’s “Sex Tour of Ireland” featuring former Wexford senior hurler Greg Jacob that resulted in a storm of controversy. Speaking about the former GAA star on her website Tanya says “He was a great sport, and a good performer what more could I ask for? I do believe he stands a very good chance of having a successful career in porn if he wanted to.”

Jacob was one of several Irish men who joined in with Tanya’s sex tour of Ireland. Describing her erotic experience with the former Wexford hurler she said “We met the guys and drove to a secluded spot and then basically it was time to have fun with me. I called the guys into the caravan and we just got down to it on camera.”

Tanya’s tour of Ireland consisted of the Liverpool lass driving around the country in her camper van recruiting Irish hopefuls to take part in her porn film. It seems she had no great difficulty finding willing participants. John from Galway, Dave from Cork, Kevin from Carlow and Steve from Dublin are just a few of Tanya’s conquests.

It seems they made quite the impression as Tanya has only good things to say about Irish men. “Some of the Irish guys I've met have been shy but some of them are definitely not shy.

Most of the ones I’ve experienced are the ones that want to have fun.”

The self proclaimed MILF describes herself as “simply stunning with long blonde hair, long legs, luscious green eyes and a bright white smile.” Bored from mundane office work she decided to become a porn actress.

So what advice does this porn star have for other Irish men who may be interested in pursuing a career in the industry? Looks aren’t everything according to Tanya. “To me how a guy looks is not always how good it’s going to be on camera. I want a guy to be nice and friendly and willing to have a go. So as long as that’s the case, I’m going to have fun with them. That was good enough for me on my Irish Tour.” Good to know that a six pack can be substituted for our famous Irish banter!

Well done, men of Ireland! If you can't be #1 at anything else, you might as well be #1 at Tanya Tate. Get in the queue, boys: it's so very heartening to know that, as bad as things are in Ireland these days, we can still take pride in our collective ability to excel at bouncing about in a camper van with a British whore. Feel good story of the year!

As an American student of statistics and methodology, I don't read much about the experiences of American men and Irish women. As a person who believes in the importance of personal involvement (in the academic sense, of course), I await your reply to settle this international debate.

Have you ever seen a small Irish family? In all of my ancestrial records they have at least 7 & that's a small family,but that's a good thing for if they hadn't I wouldn't be here for naught the Irish seed.

I'm not really sure. Too much partying in Ireland; unfortunately, I only used the bed for passing out. Never believed the "irish curse" anyway. Sounds more like another "irish blessing" to me!!!
