Our old WWE pal Sheamus has a heart bigger than a wrestling ring. The Irish-born grappler returned to his Dublin stomping grounds last week with the WWE for a show at the O2 Arena and received a hero’s welcome. He also spread some joy to a sick child who can surely use some.

Sheamus – christened Stephen Farrelly – was greeted by hundreds of fans who lined up for hours to meet the big guy at a toy store in the city center. Many of the fans were sporting bright red hairdos inspired by the man himself. Sheamus also brightened the life of an adorable little boy who’s almost three and was born with no upper limbs or femurs in both legs, an extremely rare condition known as Crommelin Syndrome.

The tough little tyke, Daire Gorman from Co. Monaghan, is obsessed with WWE and Sheamus in particular. He got to meet his idol thanks to the local branch of Make-A-Wish, which works very closely with the WWE.

“[Sheamus] was fantastic! He was so sweet to Daire, asking how he was and posing for pictures,” the child’s mom Shelly said.
