Neil Patrick Harris and his partner David Burtka have joined a long list of celebrities in using surrogate mothers to produce their off-springs.

Harris and Burtka announced over the weekend that they are expecting twins later this year.

Harris broke the news over Twitter saying, "So get this David and I are expecting twins this fall. We're super excited/nervous/thrilled."

The star of 'How I Met Your Mother' is not alone.

Portuguese soccer star and heart throb Christiano Ronaldo's son was born during the 2010 World Cup to a surrogate mother.

In confirming the birth of his son Ronaldo, who is unmarried, said, "As agreed with the baby's mother who prefers to have her identity kept confidential, my son will be under my exclusive guardianship." Ronaldo, 25 will reportedly raise the baby with his mother.
