All is clearly not well between Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama, with many Clinton staffers believing their agenda is being deliberately held up by the White House.

Clinton herself even voiced her frustration last week at the slow pace of confirming many nominees for vital jobs -- you can include economic envoy to Ireland among that list.

The fear among Clintonistas is that Obama deliberately put her in the job to essentially neutralize her and remove his biggest obstacle to re-nomination by the Democratic Party in 2012.

They point to the prominent role on foreign policy being played by Vice President Joe Biden, and also the number of envoys, George Mitchell and Richard Holbrooke, included who have been appointed.

There is no love lost between Mitchell and Clinton since she played a large role in overlooking him for Madeline Albright as secretary of state in the Clinton administration.
