Westboro Baptists marks Ireland's Yes vote for Marriage Equality with this message "God Hates Ireland."Twitter

The Westboro Baptist Church, a group known for picketing the funerals of dead American soldiers, took to Twitter to express its condemnation of Ireland’s same sex marriage referendum.

The group tweeted “God Hates Ireland” against a background of what is presumably supposed to be the Irish flag, but they seem to have gotten confused about the order and orientation of the flag’s colors.

The notorious church from Topeka, KS said that Ireland, which is led by “dogs” and has become a “cesspool of corruption,” has hate speech laws that have “eliminated any true gospel preaching” in the country, the Journal.ie reports.

Warning: the following passages contain language that some people may find offensive.

“While only about 10% of the population of Ireland are fags or dykes, the other 90% are most assuredly their soul-condemning enablers. The old preachers used to say fag-enablers are worse than fags because fag-enablers support the filthy beasts calling themselves gay, and they don’t even have the excuse of being prisoner to a vile lust.

“Romans 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them." Ireland is a land of vile, feces-eaters and anus lickers and those who have pleasure in them – all of whom are abominations to God and headed for Hell. Deal with it!”

Here's another Vine posted of their reaction:

Irish people on Twitter lashed back at the group’s messages of hate.
