The body of a 50-year-old soldier was found in the Government Buildings on Merrion Street, Dublin on Monday night.
The man’s body was discovered with a gunshot wound at the military police headquarters. It is believed that he is a member of the defense forces and was from Dublin.
He was discovered at 11pm last night. His death is not being treated as suspicious. Chief of Staff of the Defence Forces Lieutenant General Sean McCann has extended his deepest sympathies to the family of the dead man.
