A Las Vegas hit-man hired by Irishwoman Sharon Collins to kill her lover and two sons will be taken from Limerick Prison and extradited to the U.S. to face charges over advertising his services on the 'hit-man for hire' website.
An Egyptian national, Essam Ahmed Eid, has been implicated in a similar conspiracy-to-kill case in California after allegedly advertising his services on a "hit-man for hire" website according to the Daily Mail.
The would-be hit-man, a former poker dealer at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, will now be returned to Pennsylvania where he has been linked to a similar case involving the "hit-man for hire" website. In the PA case 28-year-old Marissa Mark was arrested having tried to hire Eid to kill her ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend five years ago.
Eid was indicted when he travelled to California and told the would-be victim he would kill Miss Mark instead if she could match the price ($19,000). Instead the woman contacted the police.
Back in 2006 Sharon Collins hired Eid in Ireland to murder her partner, millionaire businessman PJ Howard, along with his two sons, Niall and Robert. Collins and Eid were tried. Eid was found guilty of extortion and handling stolen property. He was sentenced to six years in prison.
Collins gained the nickname "Lying Eyes" due to the email address she used while emailing with Eid. She was also sentenced to six years having been found guilty of soliciting Eid to commit murder.
It seems that Eid's modus operandi was not to kill the targeted people but to ask them for money to have the hit diverted.
According to CNET.com Eid's website Hireahitman.net has been taken over by a production company who plan to make a movie of his life.
The website once read "Hitman is the perfect solution for your killing needs. We offer a variety of professional assassination services available worldwide. Whether you are trying to put an end to a domestic dispute or eliminate your business competitors, we have the solution for you."
According to the U.S. Attorneys Office in Philadelphia Mark has been charged with conspiracy to use interstate commerce facilities in the commission of murder-for-hire, use of interstate commerce facilities in the commission of murder-for-hire, three counts of aggravated identity theft, attempted access device fraud and aiding and abetting.
