Doctors treating the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are confident that she will make a full recovery after a blood clot was found near her brain.

The Doctors at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital believe the clot formed after Clinton suffered a concussion during a fainting spell in early December. The clot was located between her brain and skull at her right ear. They believe the blood thinners being used to treat her condition will be affective and she will make a full recovery.

Dr. Lisa Bardack of the Mount Kisco Medical Group and Dr. Gigi El-Bayoumi of George Washington University said Clinton was making excellent progress and was in good spirits, reports the Associated Press.

Clinton (65) fainted in December due to dehydration. She was forced to cancel some of her foreign visits following her trip to Ireland and Europe.

Clinton was due to step down as secretary of state at the start of Barack Obama’s second term as president (21st January 2012). She plans to spend 2013 resting.
