Irish American idol Siobhan Magnus is planning a big blast of a song for tonight's show.
"It's going to be a blast," Magnus said. "Everything's getting more intense."
"All I can do is try my hardest to do my best," she said. "All I can do is hope my best is good enough to keep me here. ... The rest is out of my hands."
Tonight, Siobhan will compete for a spot in the final 11.
As one of the last 12 she has already won a spot on the show's American tour and should earn thousands of dollars in royalties. And she was plucked from the 112,000 hopefuls who auditioned for the show.
But she's hoping to hang on in there and make it to the next level.
Siobhan says she makes her own calls on the songs she sings.
"As much as it's important to take into consideration ... the judges' comments, more than anything else I have to listen to my gut feeling," she said. "If it feels right with me, that's what I go on more than anything else."
And as for stepping onto that big stage.
"It's pretty scary," she says. "You start to think too much about what's going on and how many people are watching ... but that's one of the reasons I did this. One of my favorite parts is that feeling you get right when you step out on stage."
Siobhan revealed that she received a good luck message from Taylor Hanson.
"It basically said, 'We're really excited to hear that you're a fan,' ... and told me they were rooting for me," Siobhan, 19, said.
"It's baffling to think that these people that changed my life are contacting me, saying 'good job.' ... It's just the most shocking thing."
"("American Idol") is one of the best platforms for a singer there ever was," Siobhan said,
"It's the biggest advantage you could possibly have ... to get your name and your voice out there."
It's a hectic schedule on "American Idol," and Siobhan says she tries to relax, "but there's not a lot of free time for that sort of thing."
