Furthering their world domination, One Direction’s first American pop-up store will be opening in Illinois for a limited time starting on August 25th.

The Examiner reports that the store will only sell One Direction merchandise, some of exclusive to the store. Surely, a Directioner’s dream come true - at least until they find out that the 100th and 200th shoppers will win free tickets to One Direction’s Chicago concert next summer!

The store will be setting up shop in Northbrook, IL, a suburb of Chicago and will stay open until only September 12th. The store’s hours are 9am to 6pm.

Although Illinois will be the first American pop-up store for One Direction, others have been launched in previous months around the world, including cities such as Toronto, Sydney, Melbourne and Wellington.

While the band - Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles and Liam Payne - have found great successes on the Billboard charts, they have made a substantial amount of their fortune through touring and merchandising ventures.

The ‘One Direction’ brand has been licensed to other companies which will in turn bear the name on merchandise such as watches, alarm clocks and even headphones.

One Direction, an Irish and British boy band, was formed during the 2010 UK season of ‘The X Factor’ under the leadership of media mogul Simon Cowell.
