New Jersey governor and recent Republican National Convention keynote speaker Chris Christie showed his Jersey roots this week when he sang a few lines of Bruce Springsteen’s classic ‘Thunder Road’ during an appearance on The Late Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Governor Christie stopped by to chat with Jimmy Fallon the day after an impressive milestone in his life - his 130th time attending a Bruce Springsteen concert. Christie said he had first began going to The Boss’s concerts when he was only thirteen.

Christie and Fallon have a shared love for the rock’n’roll great - earlier this year, Fallon, dressed as Neil Young, joined Bruce Springsteen in a hilarious rendition of LMFAO’s ‘Sexy and I Know It.’  It came during a week-long dedication on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to Springsteen’s then newly-released album ‘Wrecking Ball.’

As a politician, Christie couldn’t refrain from talking about the current situations in Washington. Said Christie, “Any of the leaders up there are part of the problem if they’re not trying to make a difference. You can’t just sit there and say ‘we’re not talking to each other’ if you’re one of the leaders.”
