The powerhouse conservative Website, World Net Daily, has begun pushing Sean Hannity for President.

WND founder Joseph Farah says he's ready to lead the fight to have Hannity run.

Farah cited a recent discussion between Hannity and fellow Irish conservative Bill Cunningham as the reason why he thought Hannity might run.

In that conversation, Hannity said he would consider entering the front lines of the political fray if God directs him.

"I've never made a decision in my life without ... whatever destiny God has you've got to fulfill it," the Fox News commentator said. "I'm not sure that's my destiny."

Farah says "Hannity would make a formidable candidate, with the likability of former President Ronald Reagan, good looks, and strong convictions. He's also a polished communicator and knows the issues inside-out."

Given the current lack of any attractive Republican candidates for President in 2012, Farah's idea may not be that far-fetched.

Ronald Reagan, the then 'B' movie actor when he said he was getting into politics, was greeted with derision by most political experts. Coincidentally, Hannity has often asked 'What would Reagan do'? when it comes to an issue.

An Irish-American political expert who spoke to IrishCentral off the record put it this way: "When you compare Hannity to the sad sacks that now are seeking the office, Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin et al, Hannity has a huge edge in freshness, likability and debating skills -- there are few better."

"Hannity has the looks, the charisma, and above all the bottle to take on the Obama crowd."

Perhaps it is no accident that Republicandepot.com, the site that pushes all things Republican, is already busy advertising Hannity with  2012 buttons, stickers and signs.
