White House gatecrasher Salahi gushes about Irish roots to Biden

White House gatecrasher Michaele Salahi and Vice President Joe Biden chatted about their common Irish heritage

"OMG! So Exciting!!! Irish Eyes are Smiling Together!" was the caption underneath the photograph of Michaele Salahi and Vice President Biden when the White House gatecrasher posted her pictures with the V.P. on her facebook account. She apparently mentioned her Irish roots to the vice president during their brief encounter.

Salahi's maiden name is Holt and her family originally comes from Wicklow in Ireland, according to sources. Joe Biden has Mayo and Cork ancestry. Salahi's mother, Ros Holt has also been interviewed about the controversy and has defended her daughter.

However her Irish connections do not impress Congressman Peter King, who is ranking Republican on the Homeland Security Committee and a proud Irish American also.

King told The New York Times that he was seeking an immediate congressional investigation “Obviously, somebody dropped the ball,” said King, of Long Island New York. “I mean, you’re talking about the president of the United States and the vice president and a powerful world leader, the prime minister of India.”

“The fact they went through the magnometer is incidental,” he said. “They could have had anthrax on them. They could have grabbed a knife from the dining room table.”

He added, “The next time it will be a far worse reality than a reality TV show.”

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who was on the guest list for the gala, was also stunned baffled by the security breakdown.

"I am surprised that anybody could get through the levels of security, because there seemed to be an awful lot of it," he said. "I suspect there's some explaining people are trying to do this morning, and they should."

Bascially everything that Grace OMalley said, I second it. LOL!!! She pretty much summed it up for everyone!
These people are disgusting, low class, wannabees whose behavior would be an embarrassment to so-called Trailer Trash. As to her alleged Irish heritage, that is a total insult to the Irish. I would prefer to assume there are a few mutant genes from another parent that caused her to be so useless as a human being. I agree that they should team up with balloon boy's family - the same level of social graces and respect for others - and go off somewhere to leave the rest of us free from their pitiful efforts to make themselves appear useful or worthy or anything other than pathetic.
I know the Salahi family and was shocked but not surprised.. after all if you can have your mother arrested on trumped up charges that get thrown out of court - I guess you will stoop to anything - they need to be banished - perhaps baloon boy's father can build them a spaceship
" ... gatecrasher Salahi gushes about Irish roots ... " I guess I will have to stop playing my own race cards now. The Black Irish thing apparently doesn't carry much water with M. Roberts, Irish Central, et al.
This couple are "wannabe celebrities", and the media is playing right into their hands. Don't we have more important things to think about than this trash?
Oh God enough already. They are pathetic nobodies whoring themselves for fame and notoriety. I wish you'd all stop feeding into it by writing about them. I couldn’t care less what County her ancestors come from, mind you she looks awfully like Ann Coulter.
