The worst job in the world is now up for grabs – as Michael O’Leary’s apologist with budget airline Ryanair.

Even O’Leary has admitted that the position as head of communications with the Irish carrier is next to impossible.

Current mouth piece Stephen McNamara is leaving the airline after Christmas to join the Irish Rugby Football Union.

And O’Leary is already inviting online applications for those willing to justify his airline’s controversial policies confessed publicity seeker O’Leary.

A statement from the airline added: “Stephen McNamara is moving on after four years of being battered and abused by [Ryanair CEO] Michael O’Leary on one side, and the European media on the other.”

O’Leary added: “As a company that spends little on advertising, we rely on our communications department to generate loads of free PR as well as responding to the never-ending series of absurd claims and fanciful stories that surface on a daily basis.

“We look forward to recruiting another brave soul to take on the worst job in Irish PR and look forward to grooming the next candidate to take over the high profile and incredibly overpaid position.”

Anyone willing to take on O’Leary and the job is invited to send a CV and cover letter to recruitment@ryanair.com quoting vacancy number FRHOC001. Applications close on Friday evening at 5:30pm.

Bad News for towngate detractors! I have just been offered Bad news, suckers! Towngate already has the job. What swung the interview was my suggestion that we will install ejector seats (an Irish invention; remember!)which will activate without warning unless €1.00 Euro is inserted in the slot every five minutes. ~ See you on board! Happy sky-diving,skinflints!
I am applying as well...Never before has a company in business history has an airline been so honest to its customers while offering a safe, inexspensive mode of transport to virtually anyone...your not a valued guest... your getting from A>>>to B with no frills attached, you Know this there is nothing hidden...whats the problem? I would relish the opportunity..mark my words I'm getting an interview..
I am going to apply for this position. I love Ryan Air and Michael O'Leary is a modern Finn Mac Cumhall, it would be a pleasure to work for such an energetic company. Thank you Patrick for sending me the application details.
