This seems to be happening an awful lot more than i ever remember hearing about before - this is about the 3rd kid i've heard dying from this in the past year. It's even more scary if they cannot find anything wrong with a kid after it happens - glad your brother pulled through Ciaradexy - that has to have been terrifying for your family. I hope they figure out what brings it on soon as kids dont want to give up sports but need to know how to prevent things like this.

Cillowen, my friends brother collapsed and his heart stopped only a few weeks ago. Docs thought he was going to die from SADS. He was in a coma for 5 days and luckily enough, pulled through. he has had scans and various tests done and they can find nothing wrong with him. Medical testing doesnt matter in cases like this. Tests dont show up any abnormalities.

all aspiring athletes need to undergo medical testing as a minimum.
