A four-bedroom detached house in Magheracorran, County Donegal, went up for auction at the RDS, in Dublin, on May 2, by Allsop Space with a reserve price of just €15,000 ($22,000).
It sold for €33,000 ($43,500).
The average price of a home in Ireland is currently $244,247.
The bargain house included a front and rear garden and the house itself measured just under 1,800 sq feet. The house, which was delivered vacant, is located between Letterkenny and Ballybofey.
It is 10.2 miles from Letterkenny town center and 21 miles from the center of Donegal town.
Viewings were held on Saturday April 19 and Saturday April 26, between 10:00am - 11:00am.
Two other identical houses are nearby, on the same plot of land. Further information was available on the Allsop Space website in advance of the auction.
Among the rest of the the properties up for auction at the time were a 41-acre piece of land at Sockar, Kilmacrennan also in Donegal with a reserve price of €145,000 ($200,000).
