Radio presenter Rush Limbaugh has slammed the Republican National Committee and their ‘Growth and Opportunity’ report, saying that the political party is not conservative enough.

Huffington Post reports on Limbaugh’s comments that came in response to the Republican report which was released on Monday.

The report aimed to examine why Republican nominee Mitt Romney lost the 2012 election to President Obama, and what the GOP could do in order to ‘rebrand’ itself.

The report cites a survey in which voters from across the country "said that the Party is 'scary,' 'narrow minded,' and 'out of touch' and that we [Republicans] were a Party of 'stuffy old men.'”

The report added that the survey’s findings were “consistent with the findings of other post-election surveys."

Limbaugh said on his radio show that the Republican party doesn’t wholly understand why they lost in November.

"They think they got landslided, but they didn't," Limbaugh said on his Monday radio show.

"The Republican party lost because it's not conservative, it didn't get its base out," he said, adding, "People say they need to moderate their tone -- they don't."

The report also triggered a call for a $10 million campaign from the Republican party which will attempt to reach out to minority voters.

"The Republicans are just getting totally bamboozled right now,” said Limbaugh. “And they are entirely lacking in confidence. Which is what happens to every political party after an election in which they think they got shellacked."

Maybe Rushbo has some kernel of truth, compare this past season's rhetoric with what went down in the 2010 midterm elections. Yes, the T-Partiers got out the vote and shell shocked a bunch of liberal representatives.
AS ChrisVogel staes below the more conservative the better for the dems. LImbaugh is in denial, his brand of conservatism is the reason Romney lost. He's a GOP rhino.
What's the matter Rush, compassionate conservatism just not your thing? W. tried it and look where it took the country. Maybe you should start a deeper purge of the GOP as it is obvious that Jeb, Rynce and Bobby just do not fit in! Maybe if you purge deeply enough, you can have the GOP ALL to yourself. EVERYONE is welcome on the other side by the way. You know that's sort of what being a LIBERAL is all about. Our parents just taught us how to share.
A letter to be treasured forever - its cry for justice that will never be honestly addressed by limbaugh and cronies. If the real justification for the dying and maiming in the Iraqi venture is as deduced by "between the lines figuring" then heros abound mightily and there's no one to blame. Granted it was costly, over two trillion, how does one put a value on a free people doing what they gotta do. This is the more likely scenario that went down - something similar that is being urged on Syria and Iran. The divert war on Iraq has a simple explanation - none of reasons laid down having to do with protecting the good ol US of A ,waxes true, unless. If however the "eternal" partner that Obamar talks about is deemed a significent part of the "us," then by extension, piece of the USA, which would rightly drive us to shed blood in their defence. Given this being the truth of the matter it made logical sense to concoct a story for an attack on Iraq - which to my mind was clearly designed to but a stop to Sadam's funding of the families of Palestinians suicide bombers in the occupied land of our forever friend
For once (and only once), I agree with Limburger: the more conservative the better, for Republicans. It will keep them out of office.
Rush Limbaugh is the republican party - and, no matter how much white-washing they try, the republican party will remain the party of mean spirited bigots.
That's the way I like Rush: Keep urging the GOP to move further to the right - and losing elections.
