Radio host Rush Limbaugh claims that he is the reason that the Republican Party team of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan lost the election to Barack Obama.

Speaking on “The Rush Limbaugh Show” this week, he said, “Just as I predicted, ladies and gentlemen -- wait 'til you hear the sound bites -- this election was lost because of your host, Rush Limbaugh. I am the primary reason.

“There are others, but I'm the primary reason the Republican Party lost. And I am, by the way, the primary reason the Republican Party will keep losing, until I am denounced by the Republican Party.”

Limbaugh was responding to criticism against him on in a Politico.com article which quoted what the radio host said last month. He had said, “If Obama wins, the Republican Party is going to try to maneuver so Conservatives get blamed.”

He was partially correct. Moderate conservative “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough came forward blaming the conservative media for the Republican’s loss. Also Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal insulted the Republican’s philosophies saying they had to stop being “the stupid party.”

BrianO - Since John (I'm getting senile) McCain missed the meeting, I guess he has an excuse for not knowing what he is taking about. You see Senator John, there is this stuff we call classified that we don't shout all over our air waves because we do not want our friends getting killed and our investigations compromised. Romney, not Susan Rice, is the one that the congress should be investigating for endangering an on-going CIA op. Notice that the GOP voices on this seem to be dwindling in number and volumn as the REAL investigation procedes? The four Americans being killed in Lybia WAS a tragedy but I imagine that its cause will be found to have more to do with budget cuts than conspiracy, unless you call the Tea Party a conspiracy.
Seanmor you left out obamas stellar military record. Ephraim how does your fearless leader deception about four murdered Americans in Libya compare with watergate?
Whether Rush Limbough did or did not contribute to Romney's defeat, doesn't he deserve some slight credit from all shades of leftisdm for finding a way to evade military service? Limbough is said to have had a cist that made him unfit for the military. His fellow rightist commentatiobns Bill O'Reilly (born 1949) and Michael Savage (born 1942) apparently never did military service either. Since those of us who were drafted or volunteered for military service are now considered to be outside the pale of political correctness by many leftists, should not those radio and T.V. commentators or the right be given favorable recognition for NOT having served in the nations defense forces?
It's rare that I come close to agreeing with this person. But I would admit that his woman-hating and xenophobic ramblings really stirred things up before the Republicans even had a nominee. Then their senatorial candidates picked up on his ramblings and delivered the death knell.
Anyone who listens to this low-life should take a good look at themselves in the mirror.
Seanmor - If you mean that by countering the GOP lies with the truth which allowed many voters (sadly others do not listen to "left-wing media") to make a ration choice, I agree that the mainstream media played an important part. The reason that they are MAINstream meadia is that they are reality based and not alternate universe based.
Mr. Limbaugh, don't rush to flatter yourself. It is the left-wing media, not your "stand up for America" policy, that caused Obama's victory and Romney's defeat.
Rush made some valid points. I appreciate Iriah Central presenting the audio!
"I bet you think this song is about you, don't you...don't you?"
As usual the IC prints out of context. @slainte, I will expext you to be happy as the economy tanks, the middle east boils, and the dependency class riots.
The primary reason the Republicans lost is that Obama was a better candidate than Romney.
