Rihanna’s naked jaunt in a wheat field in Northern Ireland led to questions over whether she had damaged Northern Ireland’s image abroad.

The question was posed by Ulster Unionist spokesman Mike Nesbitt when news of Rihanna’s slow strip in an Irish cornfield reached the parliament.

At the time First Minister Peter Robinson was briefing members on a recent trip to America seeking investment.

That led Nesbitt to ask whether  the image of Northern Ireland would suffer because of the Rihanna appearance and the controversy around it.

Robinson stated he understood there was “no problem” with the incident and to laughter asked Nesbitt if perhaps he had a field of his own available for Rihanna.
