What a tragedy for Savita and Praveen that they chose to have their baby in the world's holiest country.

According to reports, the principal character lined up for the "Inquiry" is well known for his ambition for abortion in Ireland. The government - under Kenny and the pro-abort Gilmore know perfectly well what they are doing - as they are told by the EU and UN Abortion fanatics.

The Leprechaun should invite others in who are desirous of aborting their babies and to bring along their doctors thus ensuring their view of life be in harmony with the fetus suckers of our planet.

The Leprechaun should stay out of it.

The Romman Catholic Church should haveNO SAY in how patients are treated. If the patient WANTS the intgerventionof the church, they should, like Jehovah's Witnesses sign a documennt that they want NO TREATMENT and not rely on the religious convictions ( and perhaps soon to be criminal convictions) of the alleged professionals concerned. It was Praveen's body and HER decision.

Not to detract from the tragic human event, but this case is rapidly becoming a mystery wrapped up in an enigma...the RTE PrimeTime Special interview with Praveen threw up some interesting points that support my contention that there is indeed 'an agenda' for this tail to wag the Irish dog. He clearly states he loves Ireland and the Irish people - but has no trust in their HSE (Public Health Service). When his wife was told by her doctors, in a Catholic country, they could not abort, he clearly states she told them: "I am not Catholic. I am not Irish. You cannot impose the Law". ~~~ That response in itself, begs a lot of questions! ~~~ Now he is refusing to co-operate with an Enquiry even though the Government has direcrly intervened and removed members he objected to, and is further refusing to meet the newly appointed head of the Enquiry; the UK based Global authority on Trauma Births. Finally, his Lawyer has announced their intention to prevent her Medical Records from being available to the Official Enquiry. ... this is a very tricky one - and I leave it with you ... !
Higgins should think on that; defend Ireland and its Law-respecting people - rather than doing a "Little Sir Echo" performance...

Tom-tom! He was not elected as
"Little Sir Echo": he was
elected to Preside!
He should interest himself in
the fact that when Savita was told it was 'a Catholic country'; - according to her husband on RTE Primetime
Special, she retorted " I am not a Catholic. I am not
Irish. You cannot impose the Law!" ... I'll leave that one with you, Tom. Sláinte!

Towngate, President Higgins was echoing
echoing the sentiment of the
Irish people. That is precisely w
what he is supposed to do - and what all presidents
before him have done. He is not obliged to wait for the government to tell him what to say or how to think. Must you always go to such lengths to prove your ignorance. We accept it on its face.

President Hobbit Higgins should
keep his nose out of this until
,as President, he is requested
to do so by the Government.

I agree with President Higgins. I must acknowledge that if Irish citizens living abroad could vote in the presidential election I would have cast a ballot for him.

This is not accurate: "Savita died after hospital authorities insisted that her 17-week-old fetus that had no hope of surviving, not be aborted until its heartbeat stopped. Savita later contracted sepsis and died." She did not "later" contract sepsis. She already had a septic infection when she requested that doctors terminate the pregnancy and focus on treating the sepsis that was killing the fetus and would soon kill her. It's as likely that sepsis, not yet symptomatic, caused the miscarriage as that she contracted it after the miscarriage began. But in either case, doctors should have treated it promptly by aborting the pregnancy, as her body was trying unsuccessfully to do, while also administering adult-strength antibiotics, transfusions, or whatever resources they had for fighting infection.
