A recent survey has revealed that Bruce Springsteen has a fair chance of being elected as governor of his home state New Jersey, during the 2013 elections.

The Public Policy Polling survey discovered that if he decided to enter the race against Republican Governor Chris Christie in the 2013 elections, Springsteen and Christie are neck and neck in terms of popularity.

Christie has recently seen a significant decline in his voters and according to the survey, if he were to run against the legendary singer, he would be at a 42 percent disadvantage, the Daily News reported.

Only four percent of Republicans who took the survey are undecided about their vote, meanwhile democrats are at around 23 percent.

"If Springsteen ran and came across as a credible candidate, he'd likely see a large increase in that Democratic support," pollsters said in a statement.

The singer is widely known for his left-leaning views and is quit different from Christie politically.

The number makes it accessible for someone with the popularity and following that the rock star has, to enter the race with a promising chance.

It is currently unknown if Springsteen will decide to run for Governor of the Garden State in the future. A publicist from Springsteen's camp had no comment on the poll and did not mention if the rock star will take on the governor challenge.

Local New Jersey Poll shows Democratic Senator Mennendez having very weak poll numbers for 2012 re-election in New Jersey. Will Lou Dobbs seek the Republican nomination to challenge Mennendez?
Christy is an Irishman, who is doing a good job.
While I'm not a fan of CC, but just because Bruce writes some good songs doesn't make him qualified to govern.
Houli, I agree, time for Bon Jovi though.
As a former New Jerseyan - I would support this 100% - he would make an awesome governor - a lot better than the clod in there now. Go Boss!
Same song second verse. This would have the same end result as Arnold S in California.
This must be the same poll used by Cahir O'Doherty for his fake stories.
