The Government plans to order a nationwide investigation into child sex abuse in the Irish Catholic Church.
That decision that may lead to a direct confrontation with some Church authorities, who want any inquiries to be limited in scope. So far, the Government has dealt mainly with crimes which may have taken place over a period of decades in the Dublin Archdiocese.
There is also speculation that Northern Ireland dioceses could be included — the first time this expanded scope has been raised.
A meeting took place last week between officials from the office of the Minister for Children, Barry Andrews, and the National Board for the Safeguarding of Children in the Catholic Church, which is an independent body set up by the Church in 2006 to monitor compliance with child-protection laws.
It was made clear at the meeting that both Government and Church authorities are in discussions about a wide-ranging investigation into the activities of alleged pedophile priests in all dioceses.
A spokesman for Andrews’ office confirmed the meeting, and said "the dialogue is ongoing."
The main issues to be sorted out are the time frame of any national investigation, the legal framework under which the the investigation would operate, and the key issue: How much cooperation will the Irish Catholic Church give?
Government sources say they are determined to move ahead as quickly as possible with the inquiry.

The entire system is corrupt.
The courts, HSE, Etc are all run by Opus Dei, so what idiot is going to fall for this old patriarchal con job.?
The HSE also cober up abuse, and as they are not accountable to anyone, they are free to do as they please with "disposable children"- as that is what they are referred to.
It is worth while sitting in on lectures for social workers- same old eugenics propaganda as the Roman Church worldwide.
As one child in the system put it so well rcently-
" Care is the one place where you can LEGALLY ABUSE A CHILD AND GET PAID FOR IT"

Successive so called Irish Governments have been stealing from Social Welfare Recipients for over a decade and nobody gets protection by law. Denying people protection by law is a violation of Article 7 of the Declaration of Human Rights. Ireland has corrupt Politicians, corrupt Judges, corrupt Barristers, corrupt, Solicitors, corrupt Garda and corrupt Civil Servants. Who the hell is going to investigate whom??????????

And just who the F*** is Monitoring THEM. No Sorry you cannot have been found GUILTY as the Catholic Church has been of Decades of Rampant and Systemic abuse and then turn around and create a body to protect/target children when it is YOU they need protection from. No please tell me this is a cruel joke a misprint an error.
And what will they do if they find some non compliance??
Call the Bishop?? .and what will he do?? Bury it off course
Any 3 year old child will tell you that you cannot leave the Fox to watch over the Hen House.
Get these Bastards away from Children they should have no part in the lives of children instead of an automatic one these abusers will never stop targeting your children. They should never be in the presence of children without armed guards watching over the event, They should never be in a one on one situation with any child. They are proven Pedo's and that is that.

i was writing last night...Irish priests being driven out of parishes and relocated to other counties and as far away as Boston where their is a cadre of tremendous evidence extremely violent pedophiles were infamously relocated to start up and carry on the next crime wave.
I can fully imagine their were priests who suddenly knew for sure that the last seven year old Sean they had had the courage of his convictions and told his da and uncles what the priest did to him 'and they are going to march down here and beat the living daylights out of me and once they all get going they are going to want to kill me -out of and in a state of sheer rage and frustration.'
Knowing the jig was up and the news was out and they don't suffer fools gladly, the priest and his handlers knew he had to get out of Dodge the town, county and maybe even the country before all hell breaks lose.

I have been thinking a lot about the inter generational nature of the fallout from pedophile priest and religious abuse crime waves. Gerry Adams is not only talking about a very rare and abhorrent occurance in his own clan. It's a vicious and pernicious inter generational emotional and social cancer that matacticizes in the bones, eyes and hearts of young children. I myself know of many families and one intimately where pedophile abuse has taken root and the weeds are still growing wild. To look at them you would never think it, them? Because they are all so very tough and generally speaking well adjusted to the full catastrophe life and let living.
A high percentage of Inter Generational victims and perpetrators start to look a like after a while because of the very nature of this beast: very pervasive and grossly under reported for so very many Explicable reasons.
