Dominique Strauss-Kahn been led away by New York police

Disgraced IMF managing director Dominique Strauss-Kahn has resigned as the head of the IMF after his arrest on attempted rape charges.

"I deny with the greatest possible firmness all of the allegations that have been made against me," Strauss-Kahn said in a resignation letter released by the IMF late yesterday.

Mr Strauss-Kahn is being held in the notorious Rikers Island jail in New York, until his next hearing on Friday, after he was denied bail on Monday.

He has been arrested on charges of criminal sexual act, attempted rape, and unlawful imprisonment in connection with a sexual assault of a chamber maid who came to clean his luxury suite at the Sofitel hotel in Manhattan that Saturday. His lawyer has said he will plead not guilty. If convicted, he could face 25 years in prison.

This poor "man whore" learned that just because you are powerful and rich, you are not allowed to attack & rape women in this great nation of ours. The strong arm of the law in our country respects all human beings including women!!!!!!

He is probably in the best Country to get justice where you are innocent until proven guilty. Imagine he is the guy deciding all our fates in the European Union. Could he not just pay for what he wanted not to force himself on some woman who didn't want his attentions. Did he think if he guilty because of his position he could get away with it just because she is a chambermaid. Like a lot of men in power they usually open their zipper and their brains fall out.
