Kansas anti-gay church claims that God hates Ireland

Ireland has "absolutely failed its duty to God,” claims a website run by the notoriously anti-gay Westboro Baptist Church.

Based in Topeka, Kansas, the  God Hates Ireland website has been created by the fundamentalist group to “expose Ireland as the Emerald (now Pink) Isle of the Sodomite Damned, saturated with fags and dykes at every level of society and government.” 

Founded by pastor Fred Phelps, one of the most-infamous former students of Bob Jones University, the independent Baptist Church has targeted Ireland via their website for permitting legal equality for gay people.

In the video on the website, young church members are pictured jumping up and down on the Irish flag and screaming obscenities about Ireland.

One young woman appears to be dancing an Irish jig on the flag, while another sings about spitting on it.

Phelps does not confine his harsh words to Ireland. God, he claims, hates the entire world, including his own country, the United States.

The Westboro church’s daily anti-gay protests are driven by Phelps' view that the United States is “a sodomite nation of flag-worshiping idolaters.” 

But Phelps has a troubled past himself. Two of his sons, Mark and Nate, have alleged that their father is a child-abuser who repeatedly beat them with a leather strap and a mattock handle (similar to an axe handle) when they were boys. 

The  Westboro Baptist Church has also thanked God for the deaths of U.S. soldiers, and have picketed some funerals. 

Since 1991, they have staged 41,226 demonstrations opposing gays and any person, group or nation they feel is remotely associated with them.

I see the patriarchal game of divide and rule is working well. Gay V Antigay. God V Aethiest. Christian V Muslim. All keeping the sheep busy, so they do see what their master controllers are doing to them.

To olovely: you are so wrong. God has much to do with the economy. His wrath comes down on us in many different ways for turning our backs on Him and His Laws. He allows the awful things that happen because of this very reason. Money has become the god of so many now, instead of God being the focal point of our lives.It is through faith that we have any reason for living. . .without it we are nothing.

Of course God loves gays; I believe He doesn't love what they do very much because it goes against nature, the nature God created. People need to leave other people alone and let God do the judging.

Please don't judge Kansas by this guy and his brain-washed minions. Fred Phelps no more speaks for true Christians than does Osama Bin Laden. He's a complete nutjob and an embarrassment to Kansas and the Church.

There is basically no one escaping Phelps wrath. He is an equal opportunity hater. He hates Americans,Irish,Jews,Roman Catholics,Episcopalians,and any other group who does not subscribe to his insane beliefs.

God has nothing to do with the nation's prosperity. Wall Street, the mega corporations and the big banks have fleeced the nation and this week the Supreme Court handed them the keys to the White House. God's AWOL. Religion is just a nice way they pull the wool over your eyes whilst they're picking your pocket.

The U.S.A. started its' rapid decline around the time it started to "legally' murder its' own children in the womb. Irelands' rapid decline started when it abandoned its traditions and became more and more like our decadent and decaying America. Ignoring God's laws is very costly.

To call this a church is an exaggeration. Its membership consists almost entirely of the Rev and his children. Westboro is a neighborhood in Topeka, KS. Allegedly, the the "church's" baptismal font is the pool in the Rev's backyard. Virtually, everything the Rev does is intended to attract attention. Some years back he asked to march in the Topeka St. Patrick's Day parade. He was told: "Of course, everyone's welcome. But no signs and no politics. The same thing that was told to Al Gore when he visited a years earlier." Put off by this the Rev stood on a corner with his graphic, vile anti-gay signs and watched the Irish march by. When one float with a clan of Irish pulled up to him, the riders turned their backs, bent over, pulled down their pants and gave the Rev the Irish salute a la Brave Heart. The Rev infuriated screamed at a nearby policeman: "Did you see that?!!!" What? I didn't see at thing replied the police officer.

Pathetic, so pathetic. In our state, there are men who go military funterals to shield families from these picketers so the pickets don't disrupt while their child is buried. Now they don't show up because they don't get the attention they want.

Since God is Love, he does not "hate" anyone. He may be unhappy or disappointed with some of his children, but hate is not a prt of His nature. He may be disappointed with Ireland because they gave in to Rome about the 8th century, and he is certainly unhappy with anyone who preaches "Hate!"

God does not hate anything except sin.He loves the sinner and hates the sin. o loved the world that He gave His only son to die for those sins. Now much of the world has turned it's back on Him. The haters in Kansas are wrong to act like they do, but so are the people of Ireland, America, and everywhere else, who have turned their backs on God and gone their own way.

Hate only hurts when it comes from someone who actually matters.These Christian Fundamentalist Extremist idiots do not matter, so who gives a rat's ass what they think? I am surprised they find time with all the sex-with-family-members, inbreeding et al they get up to.
