There is much to gain by reading “Oprah.” By Kitty Kelley. This book captures aspects of Oprah’s life that have been hidden from view. Kelly also reveals valuable information and insights from the unique perspectives of persons close to Oprah. It resonated with me because I find the complexity and demands of Oprah’s life and work extraordinary.
An excellent book to read this year is “Little Gifts of Sustainable Contentment” by C.J. Good. This book has me reading and re-reading pages. The writer strikes a deeply-felt chord. It’s a roadmap for one’s life journey. Blends perfectly with “Oprah.” Few pages, but what a treasure.

Well, Antoinette, she's never been sued. So, if the stuff she has written about Oprah is false, Oprah can bring suit. Lord knows she can afford to.

ooh I do love it when people get all het up about a book. Ah well, doesn't it take our minds off the oil spills and clergy child abuse and the world' monetary problems.

If Oprah chooses to defend the Kennedy's, it's okay in my book. Ha! Some people see the connectednes of all of humankind, making us all family to a degree. I agree with Bonniekara, love to the Irish everywhere, and I'll add some love for the rest of the world's people too.

Well ... One does have to wonder . J.F.K. never was very careful about his sexual liaisons . Oprah and Maria may well be cousins !

The book basically is what already has been known about Oprah. If it isn't adoring, maybe the subject isn't so adorable. Though she shared it a couple of times, Oprah indicates what she thinks of herself by always being on the cover of every issue of her magazine. Displaying such a monumental ego reflects on Oprah's character. Badly.

What’s Kitty Kelley anyway? A mean harpie who grubs out a living from her crappy sensational speculations on the lives of truly gifted people. People who’ve used their talents to enlighten and enrich the lives of others. Many call her books "Kitty litter" and while I don’t necessarily like all of her subjects I really have no respect for her type of muck raking. People are forever questioning the accuracy of her quotes. I think Oprah’s gonna get her though… Nobody messes with The O!

Momma ! Kitty Kelly is bein' mean again !!!! Now, my fine Catholic friends and relatives (Sextons and Foleys from Cork and Clare) , that is a sin against the fifth commandment, not to mention trying to ruin another's reputation. The Kennedy family has their faults, among them Alcoholism (many a good man's failing), but they were never haughty or mean. Love to all of the Irish everywhere. I'm only 1/2 Irish, but I FEEL Irish ! xo :)

This is a waste of time! Who cares about Kitty Kelley and her books? All the hype just give her publicity. Oprah doesn't need any more publicity? And, yes, what does any of this have to do with Ireland or the Irish?

As was said at my brother's funeral, the Irish have a gift for not letting the facts get in the way of a good story.
