The dead hate to be forgotten. That's the message that an Irish medium gave after spending a night in a historic gaol in County Wicklow.

Dublin medium Declan Flynn claimed that he came in contact with a deceased president of Ireland. (It's never the cleaning lady, is it?) Flynn said he had communicated with Erskine Childers, who died in 1974 aged 68, just over a year after taking office.

Childers was apparently anxious that his portrait be restored to its original place of honor in the gaol.

"Erskine Childers came through because he was a prisoner in the jail for one night, I think," Flynn told the press. "I wasn't expecting him to come through at all.

Flynn is the only spookologist with his eyes on the gaol. Thousands of other ghost busters have applied for the chance to witness the gaol's many troubled spirits with an overnight stay.

In response the gaol will host a special psychic investigation evening in coming months, will be led by Flynn with help from psychic couple Keith and Angie Freeland.

Tickets will include a VIP limo pick-up, a gourmet four-course meal and a night at the nearby 19 century hotel.

Which Erskine Childers was a prisoner? Surely it was the father, murdered by Free Staters in 1922. The son--who became President--was worthless.
Erskine Childers is now beyond the cares of this world, if we honor his memory, it is for our sake and not his!
Hello again... As I mentioned before, Mary was indeed Blessed! I just wanted to know where, in the Scriptures, which does NOT include Doctrine or Tradition of man, we are told to pray to her, through her, et al. as an intercessor or otherwise? Also their is no Trinity. There is but one Yahweh, who manifested Himself into the flesh, then returned to the Spirit. There are many Scriptures backing this. If you'd like a copy, email me at: advocateno1@aol.com Yahweh Bless
Amazing!!..From a bullsh*t article of a haunted Wicklow gaol..To instant Bible quoting..That book keeps making everybody fight and argue...It's nothing but pure trouble.
Well said Gearoid4. I think Advocate is ok but a little too much for those who socket themselves too much in certain beliefs. Mind you, Advie is no fool re Yahweh/God. But I agree w/ you re his misundersatnding interpretations of our Virgin Mother. Advocate is wrong, as so many others are, about her place in our beliefs - she is not a God-like person, she's 'merely' an intercessionary, like all saints but she is without doubt the supreme intercessionary. We can't argue with that - after all, she miraculously bore the Son of Yahweh/God.
Thank You Gearoid4
@Advocate, You seem to be another 'bible-believing' christian who does not get it with the status of Mary, the mother of God. This is no ordinary honor. She carried and gave birth to the word made flesh, the second person of the Holy Trinity. In otherwords, She is known as the 'God-Bearer' which is 'Theotokos' in Greek. She is venerated by both the Western, Latin and Eastern, Orthodox Churches. The angel Gabriel was sent by God to announce to the Virgin the birth of the Saviour: "Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women." (Luke 1:28) The humility of Mary to receive such an esteemed position is reflected in her Magnificat(her acceptance of God's plan for her)-...'My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. For He hath regarded the low estate of His handmaiden, for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed." (Luke 1: 47-48) This veneration is not a deification of the person of Mary but the honoring of her as the Mother of God and thus the magnification of the Glory of Jesus Christ, Her Son.
Any who TRULY believe this must be among those who prey to the ghost of Mary. Mary was a blessed woman, but no where in Scripture does the Word of Yahweh/God tell anyone to 'pray' to her; through her, Etc., etc. Do your homework before you agree or dis-agree, Fair enough? IF you disagree, please quote the Scripture site. Thanks This 'tradition of man, comes only from men...Nowhere in His Word!
ha ha ha ha..Erskine Childers was apparently anxious that his portrait be restored to its original place of honor in the gaol. WOOOOOOOOOO!!! Put my picture back..ha ha
