U2 recently announced the 2010 dates for the second leg of their wildly successful 360 Tour, and surprisingly, Ireland wasn’t on the list.

Now rumor has it that the legendary Irish rock band is planning to wrap up their epic tour with a surprise gig at Croke Park in Dublin.

Bono and the boys have scheduled shows around Europe from August 10 to October 2, 2010. They posted concert dates in places like Germany, France and Portugal, and first-time stops in Russia and Turkey.

Now the Irish Times reports that coincidentally, U2 360 Tour crew members have booked hotel rooms in Ireland’s capital right after those dates, sparking rumors that the band will, in fact, play there.

The Irish rockers shot down the rumor to the Times, but the paper speculates that the advance hotel planning suggests they could be planning “the ‘wrap’ party to end all wrap parties” in Dublin instead.

U2 is currently touring the U.S., playing sold out stadium gigs around the country and promoting their new album "No Line on the Horizon."
