“Twilight” star Peter Facinelli  has unveiled plans for a Hollywood film about the infamous Whitey Bulger.

Known by “Twilight” fans as Carlisle Cullen, the actor announced he was producing the upcoming film this week.

"I'm producing a Whitey Bulger movie based on book 'Street Soldier' with Brookstreet Pictures," Facinelli said on his Facebook page.

Brooksheet, an independent production company announced on their website that they intended to partner with Facinelli Films to produce an film adaption of the book: "Street Soldier: My Life as an Enforcer for Whitey Bulger and the Boston Irish Mob".

The book was written by Edward Mackenzie Jr, a former boxer and drug-dealer.
According to Deadline Facinelli, also a "Nurse Jackie" star optioned the rights for book nine months ago.

A former mob boss, Bulger (81) was arrested last week in California after been on the run for almost 16 years. The Boston criminal made the FBI’s most wanted list accused of 19 murders during the 1970s and 1980s

The one time leader of the Irish-American Winter Hill Gang has already  been the source of several books and even inspired Jack Nicholson’s character in the 2006 Oscar-winning Martin Scorcese film, "The Departed."
