Susan Boyle pulls out of ‘America’s Got Talent’ in Lou Reed row
Susan Boyle was forced to pull out of “America’s Got Talent” performance after Lou Reed refused to allow her to sing one of his hit songs.
Boyle had to pull out at the last minute after the news was delivered to her that Reed wouldn’t allow her to perform a rendition of 1972 hit “Perfect Day” as he was not a fan of the 49 year old.
Boyle was scheduled to perform on the semi-finals of “Americas Got Talent” but she was unable to perform another song as her backing singers did not have enough time to learn another track.
"Susan is very sensitive and is genuinely upset. This has really knocked her confidence," a close source told London's Daily Mail. "She was in a car on the way to the studio when she was told the news and was totally devastated."
Susan originally from Blackburn, West Lothian in Scotland, became an international success after her performance on “Britain’s Got Talent”.
