Sharon Osbourne has said sorry via Facebook to Susan Boyle for her nasty remarks on the Opie and Anthony Show.

Sharon says, "Susan Boyle is a lovely gracious woman and I took advantage of that by poking fun at her. I would never want to be responsible for hurting Susan and I must apologize for getting a cheap laugh at her expense."

Osbourne, 57, was apologizing for remarks on Sirius XM Radio where she called Boyle a "lovely lady" who had been hit by "the ugly stick".

The clip, which was posted on YouTube, provoked fury among Boyle's fans.

In the clip, Osbourne could be seen laughing with presenters Opie and Anthony after she said, "You just want to say God bless and here's a Gillette razor."

It was a very cruel and unnecessary thing for her to say, and an ironic one, as a woman who must use plastic surgery to feel good about herself. Look at the success the supposed "ugly" woman was able to achieve, even while just looking like herself. Susan is a lovely woman!

Sharon apologized after she heard how angry fans and critics were about her remarks. She was inapropriate, cruel and disgusting. What was said can not be erased. Keep your apologies sharon they don't mean a thing. Susan Boyle is too much of a lady to pay mind to you. Susan is too busy and traveling as being the biggest star in the world. Sorry it wasn't you sharon but don't be jealous. If Sharon is not fired from AGT many of us will not watch the show.

I think Susan would want this all to be put behind us. Rehashing it just keeps it in the forefront. We all know that Susan is more beautiful than words can say...what one misguided, jealous, insensitive individual thinks is of no consequence.

Well at least Sharon ahs apologised, which is more than can be said for Amanda Holden who continues to this day to say her revolting and offensive skit with Alan Carr was "just a bit of fun". I suspect Sharon heard what Susan said in her recent interviews about how hurt she was by what people said abut her appearance, and maybe, just maybe realised she had oversteped the mark. She is known to go too far and is easily egged on by silly individuals who have no honour. She saw Susan's reply to a rporter at the airport and also realised Susan was not going to lower herslef to that level and would never do such a thing to her . She realised what a classy lady she was. I doubt manda Holden will ever realise this. I give Sharon the credit for doing so and having th guts to make an apology and admit she got it wrong.

Beauty is as beauty does. An apology 10 days after the fact and not even a 'direct to the person' apology is better than nothing. But not by much.

Now that Sharon has apologized to SuBo, how about IrishCentral doing a story on Sharon Osbourne's Irish roots? According to her Wikipedia biography she is the product of an Irish-Catholic mother and Jewish father.

Apologies are nice but Sharon can never erase her callous attitude. Susan really liked Sharon and none of them realize that it could be they are hurting Susan more than they know. Susan is a sweet lady with feelings that have been hurt since she was young. Susan is only winning after these tirades of Sharon and Amanda which are stupid childish and show poor character. What gets me is why SIMON allows his own employees to attack Susan. Simon needs to confess his role in this and why he keeps Sharon and Amanda on the payroll when they attack his star performer, Susan. WHY SIMON WHY??? if any of us backstabbed our employer we would get fired. Its time for you to tell why you still have Amanda and Sharon on the payroll. We as Susan's fans want to know! Susan will forgive because she is solid gold.

I say again, we have more than just a singer in Susan Boyle! The words from her new song: "No more anger, no more hate" are words that she lives by. Maybe we can all profit by her lovely spirit. Right on, Susan!!

She'd never want to hurt Susan!!! Please. Then why did she do it? For a laugh? Did she apologize to Susan? A statement on facebook just doesn't cut it. She should go back on the radio show and do it for everyone to hear, although she'll never be able to take her words back. I'm sure she got the shock to realize the decent people don't fine ridiculing an innocent woman funny. It'll be interesting to see her act like a sweetheart on AGT. She blew her cover, as did Amanda Holden.

I think Sharon Osborne is a nasty piece of work and agree with the previous comment posted. Her phoney apology was done merely out of public backlash. Who made Osborne the oracle. She was nasty to Dannii Minogue (out of sheer jealousy) and nasty to Susan to get a cheap laugh. She is more of a lady than Osborne (Miss plastic surgery) will ever be. Money certainly does not buy class. Susan Boyle would outclass you any day of the week. Take a look at your husband before you call anyone and your children!!! Sharon Osborne is just a nasty, old woman who is mean beyond belief. Susan is just a lovely lady, give her a break for gods sake!!

I believe the backlash has really shocked Sharon. When Susan Boyle was met at the LAX airport a reporter asked her what she thought of Sharon Osbourne, Susan replied that she thought she was a lovely lady. Now, I tell you - is this Class vs Trash or what? Susan is a very special lady and the world is watching out for her!!!
