Neve Campbell, former ‘Party of Five’ star, is set to film a new movie, ‘Sworn to Silence,’ for the Lifetime Network. The film tells the story of a woman who moves away from her Amish society in Ohio, only to return later as a chief of police to investigate a murder that triggers painful memories from her childhood.

Does the plot for the Campbell’s new film sound familiar? It might - it is based off of the book of the same name by Linda Costello.

Entertainment Weekly
reports that the film is going to be used as a “backdoor pilot,” meaning that based on the movie, the concept could be picked up for a regular series with Lifetime.

Besides her newest film project, Campbell has also signed with Lifetime to develop more scripted programming and new original films for the network.

“Growing our scripted programming remains a top priority for Lifetime and our long-form strategy provides us with a strong stable from which to identify potential series,” said Nancy Dubuc, President and General Manager of Lifetime Networks, in a statement.  “I’ve always admired Neve’s work.  She is a proven talent who will bring a high level of intensity and presence to this role and Sworn to Silence.”

Campbell recently wrapped filming for the Titanic documentary, “Titanic: Blood and Steel”, which was filming in Dublin recently and will air on the BBC in 2012.
