Miss Ireland finishes in top five of Miss World contest

Miss Ireland Emma Britt Waldron placed in the final five of the Miss World contest held Saturday night in southern China.
The 21-year-old Irish beauty from Waterford also won the Continental Queen title in European category of the pageant, as well as the Miss World fast-track event.
The winner of the competition was Alexandria Mills, an 18-year-old from Louisville, Kentucky. Emma Wareus, of Botswana, was runner-up.
More than 100 countries are represented in the 60-year-old contest, said organizers.
