Twenty-one-year old Kristen Stewart arrived at London's Heathrow Airport earlier this week, ready to shed away her "Bella" image and venture into new territory. The “Twilight” actress is said to have landed in England's capital to begin shooting the first scenes of her new film “Snow White and the Huntsman,” in which she landed the leading role of Snow White.

Since production for “Breaking Dawn” has wrapped and the first film is due out this November, the cast including Stewart’s boyfriend, Robert Pattinson, have begun a Hollywood take-over by landing roles in several films.

In an attempt to veer away from the popular vampire franchise, the actress has quickly begun working on other films.

Unlike in the “Twilight Saga,” the straight-faced starlet will not play a “damsel in distress” in her upcoming project.

This version of the classic fairytale is a revamp of the original and Stewart has forewarned fans that it is not just another love story.

“It's not a little girl sitting by a well with little tweety birds telling her where to go and what to do,” she said.

The studio recently released official posters of the film at this year’s Comic Con, displaying Stewart in full body armor, gripping a sword and shield.

The unconventional film  is set to hit theaters June 2012 and will feature Charlize Theron as the evil Queen, Sam Claflin as Prince Charming and “Thor” actor Chris Hemsworth as the huntsman—who is on a mission to find Stewart’s character’s heart to bring back to the Queen as proof of Snow White’s death.

Stewart has reportedly taken riding lessons in preparation for her new role, which might indicate that the “Snow White and The Huntsman” is more action than romance.
