In a recent interview with Movie Retriever, John C. Reilly, the actor best known for his roles in “Magnolia”, “Chicago”, “Talladega Nights”, “Walk Hard” and many more said that he felt his acting skills were best utilized in the theater.

“Doing theatre is a really empowering thing for an actor. Film, as much as I love it, is a director's medium. It's not an actor's medium. You provide the raw materials and then the director turns it into something. Theatre is just you and the audience,” said Reilly.

"There's a rehearsal process where the director has an influence but then they go away. I really love it. I think actually, despite the fact that I've made my career and money making movies, I'm more suited to being a theatre actor.”

During the revealing interview Reilly also told how very uncomfortable he felt filming the sex scene in “The Good Girl”, where he plays Jennifer Aniston’s abusive husband.
