‘Inception’s’ Cillian Murphy to star in new sci-fi
Cillian Murhpy is set to join the cast of a new sci-fi drama “I’m.mortal”.
According to the Hollywood Reporter the Corkman, and star of Christopher Nolan’s “Inception”, will play a law enforcement officer.
The film is set in the not-too-distant future. The aging gene has been switched off to control the over population of the earth. Time has become a currency and is essentially how people pay for luxuries. Rich people can live forever while others are not so lucky.
A poor young man, called Will, comes into a huge amount of currency (time). He ends up on the run from corrupt police called “time keepers.”
It is rumored that Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried will also star in this sci-fi adventure written and directed by Andrew Niccol (“Lord of War”, “S1m0ne” and “Gattaca”).
Filming will begin in September.
