George Clooney took to the stand in the Milan law courts on Friday. He is sueing a group of three con-men who used his name to front a fashion business.

The Hollywood heartthrob was, as always, the essence of cool as he took to the stand. While trying to enter the courtroom with his legal team he said “Scusa, scusa” meaning “Excuse me, Excuse me” in Italian and added “Don’t crush my lawyers.”

Though out the hearing the judge had to ask spectators to stop talking and one woman was kicked out of the court for taking a photo of the star.

Testifying with the aid of an translator he attempted to add little words in Italian and apologized for his lack of fluency. The actor keeps a house at Lake Como outside Milan.

Only one of the defendants was in court.

Clooney explained that the photos being used as evidence showed him and two men. He said that the images were doctored and his signature forged. He greeted the defendant as he recognized him from the photograph.

He said “This is the first time I've ever seen him …So I'd like to say hello, nice to meet you.”

Going through the other photos he noted “Here, for instance. I don't smoke and I don't wear that watch….I also don't wear long jean shorts.”

The 49-year-old actore said “I am here because I believe in justice.

“I am here to speak because some people are trying to use my name to gain advantage not over me but of others.”

At the end of the 90-minute hearing the Judge Pietro Caccialanza thanked Clooney and commented that his testimony “lasted as long as a movie.”
