Irish actor Liam Neeson has recently said that his dying wish is to see his beloved wife Natasha Richardson waiting for him at the gates of heaven with a bottle of Pinot Noir.

In 2009, Richardson tragically died after a skiing accident, leaving behind Neeson and the couple’s two sons.

Since then, Neeson has kept himself busy with numerous film roles, including his surprise hit ‘Taken.’

Still, Neeson longs for his late wife. “We had a wonderful chemistry and we became really, really close friends and ultimately we got married,” said Neeson.

Neeson had been living in Hollywood and seeing “any number of girlfriends” before meeting Richardson.

“It was a good life,” said Neeson, “But there was just something missing.”

'Natasha called up and she talked about this play, Anna Christie, which she had done herself in London. She wanted to do it on Broadway and it was kind of what I was looking for.”

Neeson agreed to sign on for the role, and moved to New York. From there, the two fell in love and went on to have two sons together.

The role was also professionally successful for the Irish actor. Famed Hollywood director Steven Spielberg first saw Neeson in the play and from there decided to have him star in the Oscar winning picture ‘Schindler’s List,’ which helped catapult Neeson to the Hollywood A-List.
