A Dublin model who was scouted by HBO for a role in “Games of Thrones” has quit the show, as she felt her scenes were too much like “soft porn”.

Lisa Nolan (21), an Asset model, has said she decided to leave the show after she discovered her character had to film an erotic scene.

Speaking to the Evening Herald she explained: "I was aware that the scene was slightly raunchy, but I thought it wasn't a sex scene and they said they would give me skin patches for my breasts. But when I got there they wanted me to be fully topless and in the scene I had to strip off. So I pulled out at the last minute.”

"I just couldn't do it. I've just started out at Assets now and I'm trying to build a career.

"People could have taken snap shots of the show and every time I did a shoot people would remember that scene," she explained.

Initially delighted when she was contacted by producers to play the role, the model got a shock when she was brought to Belfast for filming.

"To me it looked like it was going to basically be soft porn. As well as modelling I study Sports Physiotherapy so I want to be taken seriously, I wouldn't if I had given in and filmed the scene. It was my own fault really because I didn't research the show properly. The money was amazing and the idea of it all was so glamorous but I'm glad I walked away because now I have my dignity intact," she said.

After realizing the extent of nudity she pulled out straight away. Describing the experience as “surreal” she said she is happy she now knows she has a face for TV at least.

She is amazingly stupid. She was signed on to play a minor role in a raunchy HBO series and walks off set because they expected her to get naked. She thinks that will make people take her seriously. I would be amazed if she ever acted again. Shes nothing special at all when it comes to looks, thats why her role was minor. She expected herself to stand out among the hundreds of other naked women shown during this series? She really thinks she is that special? The choice: Have people casting you for future roles know you will do what is necessary for your role, or have directors casting you for future roles think that you will stomp off set if you don't like something about your role. This stomping off set is probably the only publicity and fame she will ever have she has just buried her chance at having a career, and she will never matter to anyone now, except the people that say "she did the right thing" which the only reason they think that is they are too ugly to have anyone want to see them naked, so they support people like this idiotic women.
She did the right thing and God bless her for it.
Lisa Nolan has made a double error. Personal and Professional. Her time for 'high morals and protecting her dignity' was when she was considering the offer not after she had willing agreed and signed a Contract to play the part. Her second error is to imply that the Production company somehow misled her and attempted to coerce her to perform something she had not agreed to,and that the production was somehow unsavory and morally reprehensible. ~ Word of her attitude will spread like wildfire throughout the 'business' and 'Assets' will struggle to find any work for this rather unremarkable looking model. She is lucky she is not being sued for defamation.
Fair play Lisa!

I find the show intriguing but hard to follow unless the sound is way up (they mumble) and total concentration to it is given. I also find the preponderance of nudity and sex totally unnecessary to the storyline. Am glad she stood up for herself - good woman!
That's a Great piece of news!! Good for her. Not a fan of nudity in films/tv, so that's nice to hear that a young lady has the decency to stand up and show some guts. Nice one!!
Congratulations to a very brave young lady who stood for her dignity. How I wish there were more like her . It is amazing when some actresses are questioned about the sex scenes they were in and they say "oh it was so uncomfortable and embarassing! HELLO. If they object there goes future jobs.
Delighted to know someone young and beautiful still has morals. I won't watch the show!
Good for her!
Kudos, Lisa.
