People are flocking to Northern Ireland to catch some fish and do a spot of shooting according to a recent report from the Northern Ireland Tourist Board.

4,000 people visiting Northern Ireland last year went on an organized sports package trip.

However hundreds if not thousands of others visited as private guests of people they know or are put in contact with and spent their time hunting and fishing.

A number of hunters were shooting pheasant, snipe and woodcock upon invitation from several estate owners.

Over three million tourists are said to have visited the North of Ireland last year.

Several of the groups visiting are part of a company who use the time for team building.

Others take time out of conferences to go shooting and angling.

Overall Northern Ireland seems to be the place to go for outdoor sports.
