This year a massive 350,000 attendees traveled to Sligo town for the annual Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, a traditional Irish music festival. In celebration of this influx of tourists to the area the Fleadh created these beautiful “Sligo Postcards” showing some highlights of the beautiful county.

From 'Yeats Country,' to Benbulbin, Carrowmore Megalithic Cemetery and the draw of County Sligo is easy to see.

The Fleadh estimated that ten percent of this year’s visitors came from outside Ireland with some from as far away as South Korea and Australia and many from the United States.

The first Fleadh Cheoil, run by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann (CCÉ), took place in Mullingar in 1951.
