Is the so-called curse of the Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark musical a reality?
The crew members who found themselves trapped high above New York City after their crane broke down this week must be wondering.
The three plucky production workers were setting up camera equipment on a rooftop over Broadway, shooting scenes for the Andrew Garfield-led reboot of the troubled show.
That's when he crane, which hoisted them up to the top of the building broke down on Monday morning, leaving them stranded six story's above the ground, according to a report in the New York Post.
Emergency services were eventually called out, and a cherry picker was finally used to bring the crew down to safety.
It's the kind of peril that Spider-Man himself would have stepped in to fix, but this time he's the issue - and the show's planners must be hoping he'll also be the solution.
