In his screenwriting debut, Cormac McCarthy, author of "The Road" and "No Country for Old Men" has penned a script about a lawyer who tries to get involved in drug dealing called The Counselor.
The film stars Michael Fassbender, Javier Bardem, and Brad Pitt and is slated for an October 25 release in the States. In addition to the star-studded cast which also features Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz and Natalie Dormer, Ridley Scott is directing, reuniting his talents with Fassbender after their work together on Prometheus last year.
The film follows Fassbender playing a high-powered attorney who comes into possession of $20 million worth of cocaine, which he finds difficult and dangerous to push out.
