Lindsay Lohan's debut in Paris as the artistic advisor for the Emanuel Ungaro fashion house was slammed by fashion critics across the board.

Now the 23-year-old sometime-actress is speaking out in an attempt to save face.

Lohan blames the fashion disaster, which featured models with heart-shaped sequin-covered pasties on their breasts, on "coming in so late and having not that much time to do a whole collection."

The Irish-American celeb continues to cast the blame on others by telling People: "I wasn't aware of the nipple tassels on the girls until they were walking out."

The budding fashionista also admits that she’s “still learning.”

Well she better be a fast learner, because even though critics hated the Lohan line, Ungaro has kept the starlet on as artistic advisor for his next Paris show in January.

Wonder if the mobs of shoppers flooding his stores and the insane media publicity since he hired Lohan has anything to do with Ungaro’s choice to keep her on?
