Actress and gay rights activists Kathy Griffin have donated lump sums of money to help those devastated by suicide.

Griffin appeared on Larry King this week along with other celebrities to discuss the recent spate of gay suicides.

Each of the celebrities expressed their upset at the loss of young life and are trying to encourage people to come forward and discuss issues affecting them rather than taking their own life.

After the show King tweeted that Griffin was going to donate money from an upcoming show to the Trevor Project, an organization specifically set up to help young teens deal with depressing and thoughts of suicide.

King wrote, "KathyGriffin announced she’s donating her entire salary from her Dec 16 show at the Gibson Ampitheater to @TrevorProject"
