Elton John's donation of €750,000 to Ireland two years ago has still not been invested, according to the Belfast Telegraph. His foundation, the Elton John AIDS Foundation, is threatening to withhold the money until a new plan is put into action.

The musician reportedly donated the money to fight the spread of HIV in Ireland. He wanted his money to go towards "the provision of clean needles for drug addicts."

However, difficulties have arisen that have prevented the groundbreaking program from taking off. One such obstacle is getting the pharmacists to provide the needles.

His foundation told the Irish Health Service Executive that unless they figure out a new plan, they will freeze the money.

A spokesperson for the Health Service Executive said, "We are finalising locations and a roll-out plan will be announced in due course."
