After a successful but logistically challenging run filming on Co. Kerry’s Skellig Michael for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” Disney / Lucasfilm chose the scenic Malin Head in Co. Donegal as one of the key locales for the next Star Wars film.

Crew members are already flocking to the area, so as a gesture of welcome one music instructor and her students decided to put together a video of the famous Star Wars soundtrack being played in gorgeous locations around Malin Head.

Teacher Caroline Glackin and her students Lauren McLaughlin, MaryKate Mullin, Eimear O'Doherty, Nicola Porteous, Michael Cormack, Daniel Mullin, Eoin Conaghan, Shauna McDaid, Sarah Grant, Keira McGeoghegan, Ciara Cormack put together quite the production, complete with a Darth Vader figurine, come pretty cool shades, and a sweet blooper reel.

As Glackin explained to IrishCentral, “StarWars aren't a stranger to Ireland having filmed some of the footage on Skellig Michael. This year they have traveled to Malin Head in Donegal. There is great excitement here in the area as they have already started gathering in small numbers. As a music teacher in the locality, I wanted something for my little musicians to do. First of all, to welcome the crew but also to advertise our local area and its scenic landmarks as well as our vibrant community spirit. We made a little video.”

Enjoy and may the force be with you!
