The GOP need not fear the two planned CNN and NBC films about Hillary Clinton. According to Bill O'Reilly, they won't get made.
According to Medialite, on Monday night O’Reilly brought on Juan Williams to cast doubt on the two film projects.
Last week, the Republican National Committee voted to boycott presenting GOP debates on those networks if the two projects proceed, because they fear they will simply elevate Clinton’s profile still further.
O’Reilly says they needn't worry though, because he doesn’t think the CNN documentary or the NBC’s mini-series will end up getting made.
Williams said the two films amounted to free advertising for Clinton. He particularly thought the 'very attractive and beautiful' Diane Lane, cast by NBC to play Clinton, would go a long way towards glamorizing the likely 2016 Democratic nominee.
But O'Reilly added that because of all the controversy surrounding the issue that 'neither movie is going to be made before 2016. I don’t think it’s going to happen,' adding that 'it’s way too hot.'
Williams countered that the two networks have good reason to make the films. 'Hillary Clinton is very popular and very controversial,' he said. 'Even conservatives would watch.'
